On April 23, at 18:00, on the stage of the Embassy of Latgale GORS Big Hall will meet the Rezekne Chamber Orchestra and a talented, young violinist Daniils Bulajevs, who is known to be a wonder child. In a united concert program “Plaukstošais jasmīns” (“Blooming Jasmine”), under the conduction of Jānis Stafeckis, with the participation of Daniils Bulajevs, will be performed the compositions by Franz Schubert, Pablo de Sarasate, Georgs Pelēcis and Franz Waxman.
Daniils Bulajevs was born in Riga, on April 16, 2004. He started to play violin and piano at the age of three. When he was three and a half years old, he started performing in front of the audience. At the age of four, he began playing in the chamber orchestra, attending Pārdaugava Music and Art School. He is studying music and formal dances since the age of five, but after turning five and a half, he started studies at Music School of P. Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory (violin and piano), E. Darzins Music School in Riga. At the age of seven, he performed with an orchestra for the first time. He is a laureate of many international children competitions and festivals. Daniils has performed together with an orchestra in Lithuania, Russia, and Armenia. His performance at the International Youth Music Festival “Avanti!” in 2013 did let the larger audience be introduced with his special talent.
Rezekne Chamber Orchestra is composed by the union of the musicians – students, lecturers and graduates of the Rezekne Music School of Janis Ivanovs, as well as musicians of the leading Latvian professional orchestras. With the concert of the Rezekne Chamber Orchestra on May 19, 2013, the work of the Embassy of Latgale GORS was began. The conductor of the orchestra Jānis Stafeckis has been the leader of the contrabass group of the state chamber orchestra “Sinfonietta Rīga”. He had started his creative searches in the violin class of Vilani Music School. The education was continued in Rezekne Music School of Janis Ivanovs, where he began playing the contrabass. Later, he started studies at Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, where he graduated with a Master`s degree. In 2008, he was nominated for the Great Music Award for the work in an ensemble. He has been a musician for Chamber Musician Orchestra of Riga, National Symphony Orchestra, Liepaja Symphony Orchestra, Riga Festival Orchestra. At the 80th anniversary of the Rezekne Music School of Janis Ivanovs in 2012, he experienced his first performance as the conductor. Now, Janis Stafeckis continues to develop his conductor skills at the JVLMA study program “Symphony Orchestra Conducting” under the leading of the professor Andris Vecumnieks, still being a head of the orchestral studies of Rezekne Music School of Janis Ivanovs and Rezekne Chamber Orchestra.
