On August 1, the Embassy of Latgale GORS will provide an opportunity to experience almost an impossible – the feel of the sixties and atmosphere of “The Beatles” concert. The sense will be created by a other quartet from Liverpool – “The Cavern Beatles” – considered to be one of the most precise cover band of the world known “The Beatles”.
“The Cavern Beatles” is one of the rear tribute music band, which performs live, without using any records, but creating an authentic music of “The Beatles”. Everything is well considered up to the smallest nuance – the participants play authentic musical instruments from 60`s and use the stage equipment as far as possible similar to the one used by “The Beatles”. Performing hits of “The Beatles”, the music band fascinates the audience of different ages with their fantastic likeness to the legendary British four – with the look, that is created by paying the attention to every detail, with the movements and musical presentation. The fact that all of the four members of “The Cavern Beatles” were born in Liverpool allows them to imitate unique performing manner of the four, the speech, and the repertoire even more precisely and detailed.
The music band has performed in Latvia previously, however, in Rezekne “The Cavern Beatles” will perform for the very first time. Music Editor of the portal TVNET Jānis Žilde says: “One of the most famous music bands of all times, of course, is “The Beatles”, so there is no wonder that there are countless Beatles tribute ensembles. One of the most authentic from all of them is definitely “The Cavern Beatles””.
The leader of the music band “Dabasu Durovys” Arnis Slobožaņins has experienced the live performance of “The Cavern Beatles”: “At the age of 13, I recorded the playlist “Golden Beatles” of “The Beatles” to a cassette from the compact disc browed of my cousin. The fascination of the music encouraged me to learn the lyrics and melody. There is no wonder, that the music of “The Beatles” has such an influence on my own songwriting experience. I remember being at my grandfather’s house and listening to the shabby cassette for the hundredth time and dreaming – how great would it be to live in the sixties and experience the Beatlemania… “The Cavern Beatles” gave me the atmosphere with their authentic sound, behavior on the stage and the appearance – the feel of being 50 years in the past of, in Liverpool. Magical!”
